Rohit Shetty Stands By Salman Khan After His Strong Shirtless Response To Trolls
Salman Khan has been dealing with body shaming for a long time, and this particular incident in which he responded to trolls by taking off his shirt and showing off his abs resonated with many in the industry.
It was the latest episode of Weekend Ka Vaar, and Salman was seen confronting the people who have been criticizing him on social media for his appearance and age, and responding in a most dramatic way possible.
It seems that, instead of letting the words of the people who body shame him get to him, Salman used these negative comments as motivation so that he could show them that he looks great no matter what.

It is no surprise that Rohit’s words were full of praise for Salman, considering the two have been close for a long time, but it also shows that, for him, the online harassment has gone too far.
Rohit was not the only one to comment on Salman’s response. Director Kunal Kohli also voiced his support, saying that Salman’s message was an important one for everybody involved, especially the paparazzi and social media trolls who harass celebrities for being different than the ideal.
“@BeingSalmanKhan respect. You made the most important points on social media etiquette, behaviour, trolls & paps and the people who follow and encourage such behaviour”, wrote Kunal on X. “Aur jab bhai bolta hai toh uske baad koi nahin bol sakta.”
However, Salman’s message was not exclusively about himself. It seems that, when talking about people who body shame others, he was also referring to the negative comments directed at his co-star Katrina Kaif, who recently became a mother for the second time.
Although Salman did not name her, he was clearly referring to the rumors about Katrina’s weight gain after giving birth and responding to them by saying that there is nothing wrong with women’s bodies after pregnancy.
“Why do you troll somebody who gets pregnant? Pregnant hone ke baad everyone puts on weight… Pregnant thi toh weight gain kar liya, wapas movies mein aayegi toh fit ho jayegi”, he said.
Salman also said something very interesting in response to body shaming directed at him, saying that people are criticizing him for getting older, and that he finds it ridiculous.
“Budha hogya. Of course, 60 saal ka hogaya. You can’t be Maine Pyaar Kiya all the bloody time”, he said.
It seems that, for Salman, this was a way to remind people that celebrities are human too, and that, even though they may be famous, they have feelings just like everyone else.
With notable personalities such as Rohit Shetty and Kunal Kohli speaking up in support of Salman, his message has clearly resonated with many people.
